Jun 17, 2018What I saw then was strip mining at what then was the edge of the park. I tell you this because strip mining built the foundation of what became Kickapoo. And when the strip miners left in the late 1960's', mother nature took over and in the last 50 years and turned the barren land into green space full of trees.
